Check it out, sorry about the server, kinda sucks, but it is the only fast one I can find. If anyone can give me like 700k of space on a fast server with no pop-ups, then tell me. HTTP://MEMBERS.THEGLOBE.COM/COBAIN2CRT/PSX1.HTM cool, eh? Yes, I know, 1-800-CHARTER.
Let me be among the first to commend you on the excellent progress.
Some constructive notes ~
1. Your spell checker missed filips as in Phillips head screw.
2 That heat thingy might just as well be called a heat sink or heat plate.
3. A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing. Be careful how you share it.

Thanks, I called it a heat thingy because it is far to thin to be a heat sink, infact, I doubt it disipates more than like 2w. I think it may be intended more for keeping everything the same temp. I hate that spell checker. I like sharing dangerous info, and go ahead, rip open your playstation! I have that disclaimer, so I don't care! I almost wanted to overclock it, but I realized that the games seem to run just fine at the normal speed. Someday I might have to put in a DVD-ROM drive and see what I can do! Oh, and those littlething you put on the board to play burned CDs, I am gona get one of those, right after I put in internal RCA-out stuff. I am gona have to get a dreamcast...

Cobain that is a little scary http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Reminds me of my brother who used to take apart any appliance available, radios, toasters, etc, "just to see how they worked."
He is now a very successful engineer and VP.
BTW, I'll be your spell checker,

I believe the PSX has between 2 and 4 MB of RAM. I think it's like 3.5MB of RAM. I don't think your Windows idea would work anyway because it's a different architecture. No one would bother with a PSX anyway... it's far too slow. Get a Pentium 133/board, etc. if you want to mess with an extra PC. A whole lot more viable info.

Didn't you overclock a TV once, Old One? - Elf
Yes, 12 channels of UHF in the '50s. Too bad there were no transmitters yet. PBS could have covered the HUAC hearings. - 8-Ball

Starwatcher - Thanks.
Who knows, maybee I can get a real job someday, no, maybee managment! Hmmm... can you overclok a radio? Na, it works just fine now. I am gona take the casing off of one of my games for my SNES, fun! I am also thinking of painting it, I hava a black TV, black SNES, black TV stand, Black VCR, black camcorder, black sega w/32x w/Sega CD, black amp, black radio, black everything, White PSX ;-(. I just remembered, the PSX is X86 compatable, so in theory I could plug in a hard drive, load Windows, wow! Was there ever a PSX mouse? Keybaord? I could modify my keyboard, if someone wrote the drivers, you could write a special revision of the PSX bios (not on mobo, on CD), burn it, drop DOS on, play Quake. From what I understand, it is equivelent to either 486 or a pentium, but not a 386. Since DOS works on n 8086, it should work. Does anyone know how much ram a PSX has! I HAVE LOST IT!!!!!
