How do I go about doing this? Do I have to copy it to my HD first then convert it to a WAV. I make CD's all the time using Napster, but have never tried to copy an AUDIO cd.

Thanks in advance

Guys sorry about not posting what I'm using.......Here it is, I use Sony Hot Burn.

Also, I've tried burning CD to CD with Sony Hot Burn, but to no avail. The Burn seems good with No buffer under runs, but then the CD wont play the music.

I figured it out. I used Music Match Jukebox to copy the cd to wav format on my HD than I burned them from hd to CD, that simple

I appreciate all your help.

What program are you using? You should be able to do a disk to disk copy, tho maybe not at the highest speed your writer is capable of. I use Nero and CDClone

You need a ripper like Audiograbber to copy the tracks to your hard drive. These tracks can then be burned directly to CD-R; they are wav's and no conversion is needed. BTW, Audiocatalyst is Audiograbber with the Xing encoder built-in. It can be used for your purpose as well.

There are number of CD burning softwares that you can use to make copies of Audio Cd's. I just use Adaptec Easy Cd Creator V.4.02 to make direct CD to CD copies. I also use Padus Disk Juggler to make CD to CD copies. You can do it either way, either image to hard disk first or direct CD to CD copy. Just make sure your CD Reader is fast enough to extract the audio tracks to the CD Burner without causing a "Buffer Underrun"

Slightly off but still on topic, how can you get analog recordings like from LP or tape thats fed into the aux of the soundcard converted to wav so you can make a CD of them? I have easy cd creator but cant find a way to do it. I have used winamp to do mp3 to wav then to cd but I cant figure out how to do the other.

Audiograbber is good for this (also). No, I don't own stock in the company. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
