Recently upgraded from Windows 98 to XP. Sony CRX100E burner no longer recognized, so purchased CRX175E and Nero v5.5 audio editing software in an attempt to improve editing environment. Currently use many Sonic Foundry Products i.e. Sound Forge, Vegas, CD Architect but cannot find the 100E any longer when using CD Architect in XP environment. Turns out CRX175E doesn't burn CD copies correctly either i.e. on disc copy, track 3 begins in track 2, track 4 begins in track 3 and so on, offsetting the remainder of disc. Any workaround for this or firmware available to resolve problem?
Thank You :(

Thanks Grentarc for Your message.
The speed of the CRX175E can burn audio up to 10 times real time, 24 times real time for data. I don't know where the 'bug' might be. I'm going to try removing all other disc burning software left over from 98 OS and then re-install Nero. I have performed a burn simulation and sent the log file to a tech at Ahead. Perhaps that may provide some answers. If You have any other ideas, please share them with me at Your convenience.
Best Regards,
Jon
Latest version of Nero is 5.5.8.0, try it and see if it fixes your problems.

I remember now something i came across when installing one of those burners. I found that only the latest Nero recognised the drive and also, make sure that you DON'T have DirectCD running when you use Nero. Direct CD somehow stuffs up Nero, so either end process or uninstall it.
