diamond v770 problems

When using this hardware configuration the monitor output shows scrambled yellow/black/white/pink lines as soon as I turn the computer on. When replacing the AGP card with a spare 4mb PCI, the system works flawlessly. In case you were wondering, yes the init video is set to AGP (rather than PCI) and the "Assign IRQ to AGP" is set to "Enabled." Does anyone know why this is happening? Thanks.

I have seen this happen a lot when the video card is faster than the monitor can keep up with. that is the reason it works with the slower card. some older monitors won't work with these newer and more powerful cards.

also, I know you have the card in the slot fitted snug and all connections were checked too!!
