Mobo P4, with chipset i850, supports dual Rambus channels. I have two 64MB RIMMs and two CRIMMs. Should I use one 64MB RIMM on one channel or both on two channels ? Which case is better ?

Rugor 04-23-2002, 01:11 AM You should have 4 RIMM slots on that mobo; divided into two banks of two RIMM slots each. You NEED to put one RIMM and one CRIMM in each bank. You have a dual-channel memory system and need to have a RIMM in both channels for it even to post. The other two slots need CRIMMs because in order for the circuit paths to be complete all RIMM slots must be populated. Good luck $1500-P4 gamer 04-23-2002, 01:32 AM Usually its RIMM 2 and 4. You will have to check mobo manual to be sure though. What mobo is it ?:) SysOpt.com
