I would give it a yea verdict just based on the webcam use.I dont know which prog you are using but a few seem to use quite a bit of ram.

Personally, I would buy the ram. like you said, Ram is cheap right now, and you will notice a performance increase. I think that above 256mb and you start to notice less of a increase in performance.
Get it while it`s cheap I say! Remember, if your a gamer, minimum specs are always going up. Also, editing you websites/s will be more pleasurable with more ram. You`ll be able to have more documents open at a time without the performance hit.
You`ll be able to start multiple apps at bootup without worrying about low resources.
Adding more ram is NEVER a bad thing. At a certain point, you have to think: Is it worth the money? But right now I`d say yes!
The rest of your system seems pretty good, fairly high spec, so I`d say the ram will make it more complete also.
You didn`t mention chat Graphics Card you have. If it`s a good card, go for the ram. If you haven`t got a decent card that can handle 3D well, then we have another choice. Graphics Card or Ram? Since your a gamer, I`d say Graphics Card first, then Ram.
One last thing, you`ll find your swap file is used less with more ram, so thereby gaining you a little more speed.
All the best!
TD.

Check out http://www.comp-u-plus.com
I was using MySimon.com and the cheapest
prices on quite a few items (Including my
Creative CD-RW 8432 that I paid $269.00 for
and is now selling as cheap as $116.00!!!)
were at Comp-U-Plus...
IMO, I would say that up to 256MB, it wouldn't be a waste to buy RAM in any circumstances in today's OS's. As for over 256MB for everyday computing such as Word Processing, Internet, Games, etc, it may be a waste in my opinion.

Even though you already bought it, I would like to add my two cence http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I have 128mb now (256mb stick is on the way). I just started my computer. I can go into System Monitor and it says 4mb of free physical memory! That's not a whole lot. I have ZA, several McAfee apps and the remote control app for my tv tuner on startup (among the standard apps). Also, I do a crapload of multitasking that really, really bogs down my system. I upgraded for that reason and because I do video editing from my tv tuner. I am a major multitasker. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
