I would guess that any copy protected CD would not be owned by you and would most likely be copyrighted by another party. Thus, duplicating it would be illegal.

Correct me if my assumptions are wrong, but we don't do that sort of thing here.

Even then, I don't believe there is a burner that does that sort of thing.

it's not the burner that matters but the reader. The reader will have to read/bypass the copy protection. There are sites that offer advise on software hardware for legally backing up your copy protected cdroms, but before I start giving away links, I'd ask you to look around yourself untill someone at sysopt approves.

Try using cloneCD to burn your CD's.

As I understand it, we are allowed to burn
One (1) and Only One Backup Copy of Purchased
Licensed Software...I remember people saying
that CD's last forever...Ha!
