I am backing up to the standard microsoft back-up included with Win98, using my HP 9100 burner. I can't seem to get my CD-RW's to work. The only changes I made were adding Adaptec 4.0, and CloneCD. (I only do singles, as it won't support spanning). I reformat the disk, but it won't complete the backing up process and either tells me that my format is unacceptabe or that my disk is write protected. I tried changing the .QIC file extension to .UDF which copied, but was not recognized as a valid back up media when I tested it, so it probably wouldn't restore.

Ideas?

I am really stuck here, and I haven't found any good replacements that are free or cheap or shareware.

Thx in advance...
