Is it possible to add win98 to a disk that has win2000 for dual boot?

I want to dual boot both o/s, but dont want to remove win2k. I have partition magic 6
, so I could easily make a new partition for win98. The disk is currently NTFS, but Partition majic could turn a new partition back into fat98 for win98. Am I looking for trouble. After loading win98,would win2k be unbootable?

Partition Magic 6 will be able to create the new partition, and format the partition in FAT32. I run a dual boot system using win98 and win2k (each OS on its own HD). The problem is the Boot Menu. The Win98 partition needs to have files installed on it (ntdetect.com,ntldr, and boot.ini, to name 3 of them) so it will be recognized properly. The only I know to do that is to install win98 first, then win2k (i.e., you would need to reinstall win2k). Two ideas:
1. Use the Win2k repair option. I don't think that would get the dual boot working properly, but it might be worth a shot.
2. You could also get software that would let you dual boot. I think there's something in System Commander (it's like Partition Magic), but I've only heard this, never tried or used it. Hopefully someone here can give you info on that.

Off the top of my head. Take this advice at your own risk.

Make sure you HAVE a 2000 ERD and the 4 boot disk. Shut Down. Then do an install of 98. Don't boot to 2000 just install from the CD to a diffrent partition. After 98 is up and running, shut down. Use the ERD or (4)boot disk to repair Win 2000 install.

I'm not sure which disk/s you would use because I've never used either but my bet is on the ERD.
