Will it be backward compatible? Im looking at the MSI K7T pro2, but it's a ata100 board.
Thanks!

Yes, they're supposed to be backwards compatible, so you won't have any problems. Best of luck!

BTW Is that a Microstar K7T Pro 2?? If so, great choice. I read a really good review of that board on ANANDTECH.COM and they said it is a great board. I plan to get one meself. That coupled with a $170 T-Bird is looking pretty **** sweet about now. Hope you didn't find my last post harsh but for the last few months all I have heard about is ATA100 being backwards compat. with ATA66. (just like ATA66 was compatible with 33 and 33 with EIDE etc.) Let me know if you like yer new board!

BTW that MOBO is going for $112 so don't pay any more than that for it.
