I use XP Pro and Occasionally while on the Internet the PC will restart..

So far I have 2 Culprits

AOL 7.0

Norton Antivirus...

Has anyone had a similar problem and found a cure..

also..

Does anyone know of a Program that can Log all Activity on my PC so that when the PC restarts again I can see what the last Action was..

Regards...

If you have XP, you can turn off the restart feature in the power management or recovery section. That way you can see the Blue screen and maybe the stop error code will help you trouble shoot.
I do not know if you can change other OS so it will not restart.

I have XP Pro, Norton AntiVirus and AOL7. I had the same problem when I first upgraded to AOL 7, it turns out, it didn't like my XP Modem Driver (which worked perfectly with AOL6), luckily there was a second, updated XP Driver on the net (yours wouldn't be a smartlink modem would it?), once that was installed everything was hunky dorey.

As for activity logging, create a shortcut to Dr. Watson in you startup folder and set the properties to run minimised.

Also, Someone on the AOL server could be trying to hack your computer, If you don't already have one, Install a firewall, Outpost works well, it blocks Ads, it sets itself up and it's free, you can download it Here (http://www.agnitum.com/products/outpost/) , and make sure you have the latest security patches for XP.
