Fellow Sysoptors:

I use a program from www.HighCriteria.com (http://www.HighCriteria.com) called Total Recorder. This program allows me to record streaming audio. I have saved roughly 30 hours of audio (voice) data in 1 hour wave files. I recorded and saved them as 8 bit mono in PCM format. I then attempted to burn them onto CD-Rs using a Memorex CDRW with NTI software, but it would freeze up just when I'd select a wave file to burn! I then converted a wave file to 16 bit stereo CD quality PCM format. No freeze up, but nothing recorded / transferred onto the CD-R, though the burner went through the motions. It remained blank! With Total Recorder other formats are available in which to save or convert files: Voxware Meta Sound, Voxware Meta Voice, MPEG Layer-3, Microsoft, Lernout and Hauspie, DSP, GSM, etc. Anyone had any experience with burning streaming audio (non-MP3) onto CD-Rs? I'd really appreciate some pointers.

Thx. Brangwen http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
