Maxtor 60Gig ATA 100/133 7200rpm for $99.97 (before tax)
Maxtor 40Gig ATA 100/133 7200rpm for $99.99 (before tax)
And these are without rebates.
And I didn't misprint these either. Went to Best Buy 1 1/2 hours ago to pick up a 40Gig and got the 60Gig (Duh) for the same price.:D

I wish I would have waited a few days since I jumped on a Staples 40GB Maxtor deal when I could have got a 60GB at BB for the same price.

Oh well....great price for the 60GB drive!!

Yeah but isnt that after the great best buy mail in rebate...sometimes that frosts me cause once I bought about $500 worth of pc stuff from them and a year later no rebate.
they keep the money for like 2-3 months from what I understand and with me they kept it forever....Hell I wonder what they would say if I wandered in and asked them to lend me $200 for a couple of months :D

They really have nothing to do regarding the rebate. All of them are sent to some cornfield in Nebraska, a snowbank in Montana, some obscure town in South Texas, or El Paso Texas. My rebate for an ATI Rage Fury Pro took 6 months from Office Depot and one from Fry's in Arlington took 9 months. I had forgotten what it was for. :p

Incidentally, AxionTech usually has very low prices and fast delivery. They ship out of Houston via UPS. I could get two day order/delivery if the truck would drop off order in Texarkana on the way to the Little Rock central distribution center.

How about the pathetic legislators do something for consumers and enact a law stating that a rebate must be honored within 3 weeks of the time that it was received!

Ok, I'm late with replying to this. But, if you re-read my post it said

I'm gonna have to make another trip out to Best Buy and see if the prices are still the same.

I've worked the rebates from many of the chain stores and Best Buy is the worst. Might as well say they don't even have rebates. I no longer buy anything with a rebate from Best Buy.
