Downloading it as I type this. I'm interested to see what it can do. Has anyone tried it yet?

I've never heard of it. What is it?

Hi,

I sent off for the Lycoris Desktop/LX cd and promptly received it a short time later. After the install, I have a few comments:
1. Install was flawless, quick, and intuitive.
2. Lycoris is very stable, if somewhat slow.
At least on my computer.
3. They have done much work at making the system simple to run, probably this is as easy as a Windows crossover user can expect.
4. TAR files download and install flawlessly, I haven`t found the key to doing the same with RPM files. The Lycoris forums suggest that the first cd doesn`t come with the necessary files to make the RPM`s execute and install. It seems that the files perhaps are on the second cd ( An extra $10)
So far, this is a problem.
5. The folks at Lycoris seem to take their help pills every day, as I have never seen such upbeat and responsive customer service!
6. Overall, a very nice distro, that will grow and become much better as time goes on.If one is interested in taking up with a Linux distro with a future, then this one fills the bill. All is not perfect, but they are working hard at making it so.

It's formerly Redmond Linux. They recently changed their name to Lycoris.

Ahh! That's cool. I run SuSE Linux.
