I was using PowerDVD 2.55 and savage4 card with flawless DVD playback on a Toshiba 1212. PowerDVD now crashes with the Voodoo4 card. What are ya'll using to playback DVDs on the Voodoo4 and what type of DVD hardware acceleration does the Voodoo4 have? I'm about to send them my money for S&H on the DVD player they offer via mail with the card. Input please.

I don't know about the DVD particularities of the V4, but I have one here, and I also have PowerDVD 2.55 like you. Everything's running fine here and much better than the V3, the only thing I miss from the V3 is the tv output. My drive is a Hitachi 12X.

Compatibility problem with your drive maybe ?
