I have this DIMM here, it has a sticker on it saying PC133 256MB. How do I determine the CAS latency and things?

There are serial numbers on it, and a little "MT" logo on each chip, so I want to say it is Memory Technologies. I currently use a 128MB DIMM with the same logo, so I tried to work it out.

The upper right corner of my DIMMs have a 2-2 on them. I know that my RAM is CAS2. The 256MB DIMM has a little 1-1 in the corner. CAS1? No way. But what, then?

I don't have it handy on me but I can give you the serial number on the chips too. It looked similar to the serial on my 128MB CAS2 chips, so it might be CAS2.

Is the only other way to test it out at CL2 and CL3 and see which is stable?

sandra 2001 will tell you and the MT is Micron memory..good stuff but 256 modules at cas 2 are very expensive...download sandra and check it out http://www.sisoftware.demon.co.uk/sandra/

If Sandra doesn't satisfy you, go to Micron Tech. with the part number of the chips.
