Hello,

Ok First I am a network retard. So please bear with me
I need a link to or exact step by step insructions to network them.

First the 2 computers.

1. t-bird 1.33
530-tx+ network card.
Geforce 3 ti 200
640 pc 133 ram
Ak75-EC mobo
Windows XP pro

2 duron 750
530 tx+ netowork card
Geofrce 2 mx 400
128 mb pc 133 ram
Ak75-EC
Windows xp pro
(this one has the printer)

I currently have them both hooked to a hub for cable interent.
Each have seperate ip's.
So how would I do it.

Next what do I enable for printer sharing.

And is it possibel to play games between these 2 computer like LAN if I networked this way. Thanks.

You have to be kidding. We have gone over this 10,000 times here.

Yes you can game by IP on your LAN. You start one game (create) as a server. The other PC's game will see it on the LAN. Easy. Just "Search for local games".

You share printers by right-clicking the printer and selecting sharing. You then Add Printer, Browse to the network printer and let Windows install the driver.

Yes, your games should work just as BipolarBill described it. Though I thought that sharing a cable modem required something like a router.

Actually. Jimstep, he can use ICS and a hub for gaming on a LAN. Even a P2P crossover LAN is a LAN. ;)

So, he could have cable hooked up to one of the PC's and through ICS, the other pc will be able to share that connect.
