I spend about 2 hrs putting together the hardware.

This includes pulling the cat out of the case a few times and answering the phone and and and

Then I usually spend about 6-8 hrs fine tuning the system.

Installing Gozilla and some other free ISP's and things I prefer on my machines.

I could do like a OEM and slam it together in 8.721 minutes and HOPE it works, but I'm not in that much of a hurry..

Start with a el-cheapo "Bare-Bones" system first and work up to the 1.4ghz units..
