is my printer ink dry

i recently got an old lexmark 1020 printer going that my sister gave me over 6 months ago.the cartridge shows about 1/3 full and when i loaded the drivers it prompted me to change it.i have printed off of the web and that seems ok,but trying to print a word doc,and the black font is blue.there is only one cartridge so is the black just done.

Could be dry. If it has one, you might try running the head cleaner and see if that helps any.

no,actually i found the answer in a thread below,its been sitting for so long,all it needed was a minute of shaking to get darker,so i'll just shake it some more http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
