PC66 vs PC100

Will PC100 scdram work ok on a motherboard that only has 66mhz bus.

In general, yes.

I've heard of rare occassions where it would not. You might check with the board maker's tech support to be more sure.

you will also find a lot of pc66 will run at 100 depending on maker

Yes, the pc100 will work on a 66mhz bus.
The pc100 ram has the built in step down feature.
Unfortanatley all the pc66 ram we have are no good in a pc100 board...oh well we can throw them in an old system

I got a PC66 chip in this P2 434, 124 FSB rig sittin nexta me..It works if your lucky.

As far as your question goes awwall, there really are motherboards that do not support PC100 SD-RAM, and I have had the displeasure of coming across a couple. Most are clone boards made on old clone chipsets (I remember one was an old VIA VP2, I believe). Every Triton TX board I've ever tried it on has worked, though.
