Norton Systemworks 2002

I have a problem, Norton System works failied to install LiveUpdate (and subsequently NAV) on a Windows ME machine!
Made several attempts and no previous or current AV programs in sight.

The machine has been sorta a problem machine so we upgraded it to XP Home Edition as the hardware was right for it.

Got to adding Norton SystemWorks 2002 and the same darn thing has happend!!


What can be done?

very wierd. I am running xp with sysworks 2002 and I also had sysworks 2001 installed on xp (with the patch) and have had no problems...

When you say you upgraded to Win XP home edition , did you do a clean format and reinstall first?
If not , then you might want to do this first, the reinstall Norton Systemworks 2002 and see if liveupdate installs itself correctly

Norton System Works 2002 is inadequate for Win ME.
Stick with NSW 2001. I did!
