Pioneer DVD and hollywood decoder not playing movies?

I installed latest hollywood drivers and applications, not playing dvds but plays some of them , not playing pear harbor 2001, any idea's, Why would player play a few dvd's but not all of them?

Could the DVD that won't play be from a different zone that the player cannot play?

Not likely, but who knows, my old dvd work but only half of them they should all be in the right zone!?

I have a region locked pioneer dvd 10x and only some movies play . Could these movies be in the wrong region? Bought dvd from Netflix- I would guess they should work, also some dvds that I have also stopped working, but some do work-I can't believe this garbage? Why should some movies work and some do not. I here there is a firware patch to block region blocking! Been trying to install the patch- no success so far.:confused:

Jurassic Park 111, Pear Harbor 2001,U-571 ,all have to go back monday unwatched ug. I guess with dvd's a pioneer 104- locked drive in region 1, drive is a poor choice. Still got a few day left. Two more post to hit the magical 1000 post.:rolleyes: :eek:

Rented Pearl Harbour and JPIII from Netflix, had no problems here

The problem is the pioneer 104 dvd player ,not the dvd movies:(

Problem fixed , bought a radio shack dvd cleaner for $10.81, cheaper cd cleaner's did not work. No need for the radio shack $20 version, The cd Lazser Lens Cleaner at radio shack $10 solved the problem. I am now able to watch U-571,.:D
