Maybe I should get one of those AMEX Blue cards? Should I cancel the credit cards that I used on Egghead.com?

I'd check with my bank asap to alert them, and to see how much, if any, liability is allowed; some are up to $50. But why have that liability at all if you can get a card with "zero" liability.
I'd cancel my card - and have my bank issue another. Better safe than sorry. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

If I were you, I would get an Internet Only card and have a very low limit set on it.
Cheers!
How did you find out your credit card got hacked?

It's probably been 5 years since I bought anything from Egghead, but this morning I got a email from them to inform me that there is a potential problem. They didn't say that any credit card numbers had actually been stolen, just that there is a possibility. Guess I'll have to sort through my records and try to find out which credit card I used, and cancel it. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif

Makes buying over the internet a bit 'shadier' ... They should get it all sorted out soon though..
