I'm running windows 2000 on my 'webserver', using IIS 5.0 obviously... I've set up a directory, and removed anonymous access to it, so in theory when a browser on the other side of the world tries to call up that directory, the user should be prompted with a login dialog box.
So here's the problem.. If i call up that directory from my laptop, all works fine, i get this dialog, and i need to log in. BUT if i try to call up this directory from either of my 2 desktop computers, it doesn't bother asking me for authorization, it just gives me the 'You are not authorized to view this page' page:(
I've searched, and searched, and i can not find any difference between any of the browser setups or tcp/ip config's. Is there a checkbox here somewhere i'm missing?? It's driving me crazy :(
thanks..
