I just put together a microstar kt7 pro with duron 700 in a case with 300watt ps keep old hd and uning mushkin ram. When I turn the power on the mobo has led lights that come on and I can hear the hd but nothing happens, Cant open the cd bay nothen will turn on, the monitor just flashes in staand by,according to the book it could be a bad proccessor or something with mobo.
I took the 700 out and put in my currunt machine t-bird gig to see if it was the proccessor, in my machine it would boot to the first screen where it says award bios detects the duron 700 and my ram count but wont go any further.
Any thoughts?

i had that EXACT same problem with the same motherboard. i went online and started searching for help and i found a message board at which i read that it was very common for that motherboard not to work right out of the box. took it back and got an Abit and everything installed without any problems.

Bigpig check all your connections and look at the diagnostic LED's on the the motherboard then check page 2-27 of the manual. PHX where is the link to this site? How come you didn't post it in the motherboard forum so your fellow members thinking of buying the MSI board would be forewarned?
