I am learning computers because they interest me and I am tired of painting cars(15 yrs). I am currently going to a good (and expensive) school. Learning a trememdous amount in a short time. The class is centered around tech support. Another 4 months to go. No real certs when I'm done but lots of knowledge and a Chubb certificate. I will be goin for the A+ soon. I'm very interested in networking and the internet. I currently have a part time job doin tech sup for a local isp. My question is, which certs should I concentrate on getting first? Why? Thanks for putting up with this junior members inquiries on the IT industry.

A+ good....MCSE still solid and CISCO worthwhile -so they say...- [who are THEY anyway?...]. So prolific is this industry that you have to study the certs too. A good place for this is here: http://gocertify.earthweb.com/dlink.index-jhtml.72.957.-.0.jhtml

Wow- I am very intrigued by your persistance. Most of the greats started by painting cars. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif
