Just got this new Belkin E Series Omni View switch. I hooked it up and everything worked fine. about two days later, I started experiencing issues related to the mouse. when I boot up, it just will not recongnize the mouse Is there any thing I can do about this, or do I just have a bad KVM swith. thanks for any help offered

I have the same KVM switch. If you are using a USB mouse, you should be switched to the PC that is starting so that the OS can see and enumerate the mouse. PS/2 mice are better in this regard.

Bill,

thanks for the help. I am going to take the switch back and get another one. I might by just a regular mouse also, to ensure the switch works correctly.

Thanks again!

My cheap switch need to be set to the right computer during boot up or it will not see the mouse. Once booted I can move it back and forth. Mine id a ps2. Newer more expensive switches,(more than $4.00) have the ability to allow the computer to see the mouse, no matter where itis set. (theoretically)
