Hdtach261.exe (Hdtach.exe) is good. I looked in its folder, but couldn't find a website. Just search for it @: http://www.google.com
It's no-timelimit shareware, but pretty clever for such a small program. HD benchmarking progs, IMHO, are subjective because there're so many characteristics that can be monitored. Even the same prog from one version to the next might give wildly different results -- ex., Sandra.

Thanks for that but I need one that will go in windows 2000. HD TACH has to be regestered to go in NT.

I dont want to have to pay for a program that I am only going to use once.

Thanks for the links.

I am happy now. My two 8.4 Gb samsung drives in RAID 0 beats the ATA 66 drive http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif on the ABIT highpoint RAID controler.

But my memory is really slow. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif o well I cant have everything.
