Ok, can anybody help me, I reset the CMOS and everything, but I still go to check on it and it says "Drive A:\ is not accessible" everything is plugged in properlly, I've tried two different Floppy drives and the same results, I just get error messages.
Thanks

Do you have the ribbon cable plugged in correctly? Normally they plug in with the #1 (red strip) toward the power connector, but every once in a while, the socket is installed backwards, so you may have to turn the cable over. I've run into this at least five times this past year alone!

Have you gone into Safe Mode, System Properties, Device Manager and removed all that contains the word "Floppy" in it?
If you have duplicate devices, this can sometimes create conflicts. Go through all your devices and see if you have duplicates. Remove all items that are duplicated without leaving any behind.
For e.g.: Disk Drives should only have one Geneeric NEC Floppy Disk. If you have 2 listed, get rid of them both.
When you re-boot, your machine, Windows will re-detect.your devices properly.
Even if you don't find duplicate Floppy devices, remove them anyway. I get the error every now and then as well and this is how I solve the problem.
Cheers!
