Is there a site out there that lists open news servers?

I hear that's still the best way to get mp3s.

goto alt.free.newsservers and look at that newsgroup. If you don't have a current NNTP server you can go to http://www.deja.com/group/alt.free.newsservers and look there.

Whoa. This one rocks. You just tell it the group you are looking for and it will return a list of servers that have the group. Also will sort them by speed, # of groups or # of posts, etc. (Only hitch is, it's in German. But it's pretty easy to use.
