Is there a site out there that lists open news servers?
I hear that's still the best way to get mp3s.

DVNT1 12-22-2000, 09:04 PM goto alt.free.newsservers and look at that newsgroup. If you don't have a current NNTP server you can go to http://www.deja.com/group/alt.free.newsservers and look there. This one rocks. You just tell it the group you are looking for and it will return a list of servers that have the group. Also will sort them by speed, # of groups or # of posts, etc. (Only hitch is, it's in German. But it's pretty easy to use. I don't sprechen sie Duestch but I figured it out.): http://nlist.virtualave.net/index.html http://serverwatch.internet.com/newsservers.html http://home.att.net/~JLBradley/LANCE3.HTM http://extra.newsguy.com/ http://www.cyberfiber.com/index.html http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Port/4223/ SysOpt.com
