Hi

I had an interesting reply to one of my posts regarding the GeForce-Athlon-SBlive combo causing system lock-ups that can only be cleared by hard booting the PC.

I thought I would start a new thread focussing on this issue and ask if anyone else has any comments or fixes for this issue?

thanks

Guys,

The issue may be with the Mobo and the AGP/PCI slots. I had a problem with my SBLIve and ASus A7V Mobo, sorry Radeon 64DDR.

Anyway, dependent upon the MOBO, you may be running into problems with shared resources with the AGP slot, or shared resources and the USB. I had to move my SBLive around to different slots until it would instll properly.

Just something to try...

Yea, I've been have some wack ***** snit going on with my 1ghz T-bird, SB - 5.1 Plat, 512 Kingstone PC-133, KT7-Raid, Geforce 2 GTS setup. This should be like the bomb setup but I have alot of freezups. Whats up with that? If I take any one of the 3 combo (t-bird, geforce, sb plat) out will it stop freezing?

For all those in the same boat on this issue, check-out http://www.asusnetq.com.tw/English/Component/chipset.asp

Also check-out the other forums such as VGA from the Discussion Group List on the left.

Seems we're certainly not alone on this and I think we may see some light over the next 2-3 weeks.
