need parts for dinosaur of a computer

Got an old IBM 486 for my 11 year old to play on, Has w95 installed but would like to find RARE micro-channel sound card for it. Does anyone know where I can get it?:confused:

shinta, Thanks for your reply. I recently came apon a compaq Deskpro 4 33i, It doesn't have an processor or memory, but it has onboard sound and video. A compac is not compatable with an IBM 486 33. because the IBM used micro channel technology and the Compaq used an ISA riser card. I would like to find ram and procesor for the compaq or a sound card and modem for the micro channel IBM. If you can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again,

I'm not sure what kind of memory this compaq takes, but I'm pretty sure it's 80ns FPM 72 pin SIMM. The processor I'm looking for is it's highest possible upgrade for this system, a LIF 486DX2. 169 pin. An ISA modem that's compatable with this processor would also be appreciated.

First off i'm in Saskatchewan Canada,

And i have two units here..............

486 dx33 (mobo, cpu, video card, controller card, some ram 3 or 4 i think not sure)
486 dx 66 (mobo, cpu, video card, controller card,modem, all slots filled with Ram)

(unknown size, but both use the older 30 pin simms)

boy have i got u guys beat on 486 procs...i have a 486 dx2 intel overdrive that runs at 75 mhz... its overclockable to 90 if u want...all u hafta do is pay the shipping charges on it and i can send it out ASAP... also, how fast of a modem are you looking for?? i have a few 14.4 modems and an extran 28.8 and 33.6 modem...private message me and i will give u the details if interested... also i have some memory that may be useful to you....i have 8mb of 30 pin edo memory and 16 of 72 pin edo memory
