Any one know of good generic burning software? I have a Sony CD-RW and it came with Adaptec burning software - though useful, I find it kind of unreliable at times.

There is www.nero.com (http://www.nero.com)

Never used it, but I have heard it is good.

Make sure you update your Adaptec software. There is several updates avaliable depending on which version of software you have. (the latest and greatest is 4.02E)

CDR-Win 3.8 really kicks ****. I have been a longtime user of Nero and used Adaptec to burn my .iso files but cdrwin does it all and does it cleanly and quickly and is very configurable.

And don't forget CloneCD for thse tough ones to copy. Read about it at http://www.cdrinfo.com/
Of course you have to have a burner that the software will work with.

Thanks everyone - and I updated Adaptec's software about 4 weeks ago but I will check again.
Cheers!

I like NERO the best!
