Well, I ordered some parts for my next biuld here an must say I am really impressed with their shipping.
I picked the cheapest shipping, (like $12 for a few parts).
It was by Airborne express

I ordered my parts at 8pm Wednesday and I reveiced them Friday at noon(today)

No thats fast shipping!

Does anyone know where they ship from?

Just thought I would share.

Hope the cleaned up their act, my bud paid like 40$ for shipping then they held his order but said it had shipped. come to find out they wanted 7$ more but never contacted him. He had to send another 7$ for a total of 47$ shipping for something that should have cost only 15$ or so to ship.

Tigerdirect is based in Florida and I think all of their shipping facilities are there. They do have relatively good shipping times, when you can find the parts in stock. When I upgraded to my current system, I ordered a motherboard, processor, and ram from them. It shipped fine and got here about 4 days later. Turns out, the motherboard wouldn't work with the processor, and I really wanted the processor, so I sent the motherboard back to exchange it with another. No problems shipping it back. They paid the return and everything. Problem was, they said the new motherboard I was getting was in stock and would ship as soon as they got the old one back. It was actually backordered and I spent a month without a computer, getting the run around about when it would ship. I finally got pissed, got my money back and bought a motherboard at CompUSA here in Lexington. But I do have to point out that this all happened during the November and December months, and was probably due to the Christmas rush. Other than that, no problems. Thay have good prices, decent systems, and good ship times.

There stuff is not cheap, and they are hard to deal when you have problems.

I like to order from them too. But I only order when they have something on sale for a good price, otherwise the prices can be high. But their sale prices are good. I got a 7 port USB hub for $13. Their shipping warehouse is here in Illinois, Naperville to be specific. I live outside of Chicago and whenever I order from them, I choose standard shipping and I get the order the next day. I've ordered from them three times and each time I've received it the next day.

Tiger erect's tech support is in florida and their shipping warehouse is in Illinois...They charge way too much and generally you end up paying retail box price for oem blister pack cpu's ( w/o fans ) and they send you whatever **** they have laying around even if it's returned from some other poor slob that got shafted from them. O r they advertise the product as on hand and after they get your credit card and bill you they then email ya to tell ya it's backordered..I did business with them twice and both times was royally screwged..they sent me returned items and how I know it was one cpu had a crack in the surface of the processor with grease in it and the other still had the last customers tech support and return information hand written in the crappy lil so-called instruction sheet they send along with it. which means they never even opened it to see if it was any good before sending it back out to some other guy. also one of the mobos they sent me in this so called combo pack was cracked directly below the ram slots (somebody made **** well sure that stick of ram was seated ) LOL... then some condescending tech support J-off told me I needed to contact soyo and get a return # from them. soyo told me that wasnt the procedure and that I needed to go to the place of purchase for a refund as they don't ship out "cracked" boards. which I believe because I have always had decent experience with soyo.
by the end of all this I reversed payment on my credit card and was tempted to take a big steaming dump into the box ontop of the motherboard and overnight it right back to them....Oh did I mention they wanted me to pay for return shipping and replacement shipping...I told them I didnt want a replacement because I reversed the payment on my credit card and they screamed "you can't do that" I said "I did already" and that I shipped their junk back to them via united states postal service ,,return receipt requested...they signed for it so now it's theirs hahahahahahaha

I purchase my computer from tigerdirect, I called their tech support line and they could not help me with the problem. When I called I feld that the technisian were looking thru the manuals to get the answer. Now my warranty ran out and they never solve the problem, in case any one can help me my computer has a m599lmr motherboard and my usb ports had never worked.
the moral of the story is don't buy from tigerdirect at least not a computer.

HAHAHA...way to go Bushmaster, I also hate to get the run around. I ordered a CPU heatsink/fan from them and they sent me the wrong one, but when I called them they just credited my credit card and told me to keep the heatsink/fan....I said I can't use the fan, they said well we don't want it back......so I gave it away to someone that needed it

I had a real problem with tiger. The shipping, when all was said and done ended up being more, and very late. I could not get through to any one to contact them , and when I finally did I got pissed off and ended up with a little price break(not much) for the hassle I had.

hope everyone else has better luck;)

Just to let you guy's know, Tiger is part of the Systemax family of companies. (all of which are in my book extremely shady) Let's see, there is Global Computer Supply, Dartek, TigerDirect, and a some other I can't think of off the top of my head right now. All I can say is beware. Do a google search on Tiger and you'll find that they were in big doo doo with the state of Florida for bait and switch and a host of other no no's. I believe they paid a rather large fine. There are Much better suppliers of pc parts and supplies on the web.

P.S. Resellerratings had alot of derogitory comments on all of the sub-companies listed above.

What gets me is when some of these companies send a product that will not work right out of the box, and to send it back we have to pay, when a product cost $8 and shipping cost $6 what do ypu do, they should eat the shipping cost not us.

Forget Tiger Direct! Too many un ethical business practices! As well as horror stories from others. I mad the mistake of trying to buy a refurb monitor from them. What a hassle, said they had it, said they didn't...yada, yada, yada! Anyway a week went buy and still the run around. I finally got my bank to rescind the charges. Stay away from them!

I've been buying things from Tigerdirect for about 5 years now and have never had any trouble with them to speak of. Their shipping used to be outrageously expensive, but within the last year they got their act together and actually charge a reasonable price for it, which is really nice. Haven't ever bought a comp from though; I build my own. Some of their stuff is more expensive than other places I agree, but you can usually find deals with them if you keep your eyes open
