Simply choose the type of template you want or go for a blank page. The address for the webpage is displayed on the right of the window. For example: http://yourcomputername/yourwebpagename When you have designed your page, open explorer or navigator (or whatever browser you use) and type in the address of your page. Your web page will be displayed. A couple of notes: The personal web server must be running! (I've made this basic error before) If you have a firewall running, it may ask if FrontPage can access the internet, etc. This is fine as it is trying to access the Web Server. Hope that helps and good luck. TechJumper 12-21-2000, 08:51 AM You must first have you personal web server enabled. If you don't have this go to 'add remove programs/windows/personal web server' you must then specify a name for the root directory (usually localhost or oemcomputer). After that set the server permissions and add FrontPage extensions (this option is easy to find). You are now ready to publish to your server. Go into frontpage and click publish and type http://localhost or http://whatever you named it. Everything should be in order. Remember, no one 'online' can see your site from the personal web server with the above configuration. Use of this option is used mainly to backup or preview website data. Good luck, Michael SysOpt.com
