I'm asking about saving an image of a screen electronically (bmp/jpg). Warthog 12-20-2000, 07:32 AM What do you mean by "hard copy"? It will do it in bitmap (bmp) format. All you have to do is go to some paint program and click "paste". Is that what you want? Warthog drizzle 12-20-2000, 07:32 AM Pressing "Print Screen" will save a copy of the on screen display/image to the clipboard. It can then be pasted into MS Paint or another graphics program. You can download HyperSnap-DX from... http://www.hyperionics.com/index.html Pressing "Print Screen" doesn't send the output to the printer. LOL http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Ok: PrintScreen: Takes the WHOLE screen (If two monitors, it takes both) to memory, and after that You can paste it int ANY ( To my knowledge) graphics application You want. Now, if You want just one active window or alert box or so, just use ALT-PrinScreen. Then again, open Your Graphics App, paste and have fun !! Tepo PS: Paint Shop Pro has a "Screen Capture" tool, where You can take what part of the screen You want... Works nice ! tepo 12-20-2000, 02:55 PM Just flashed my bios in my head: If You're in DOS, the PrintScreen really prints a hard copy...
