Only the green lights and fan shark_megabyte 03-27-2002, 10:28 AM Well, obviously you threw something out of whack in there  Were you only adjusting the voltage? If so, then you probably pushed it too high. Unplug the machine and press the power button once while it's unplugged. Then find the CMOS battery (looks like a big watch battery) on your motherboard. Take a small flathead screwdriver tip, touch it to the power supply to get rid of any static charge on it, then use the tip to depress the clip holding the battery in place, and it should pop right out. Leave it out for a while. Be patient putting it back in place, this may be harder than getting it out was. :p It shouldn't take much force. What that will do is clear all changes to the BIOS and set it back to defaults (your system's date/time clock will be reset too), so unless your hardware was damaged by the higher voltage, your machine should POST and boot again. [If I sound more familiar with this than I did yesterday, it's because I had to do it multiple times last night :D ] KainGA 03-27-2002, 10:31 AM THX Lycia 03-27-2002, 03:12 PM Usually motherboard makers have jumpers that clear the cmos rather than removing the battery... Usualy there are three pins, during normal operation pins 2 and 3 might be jumped, but to clear cmos, you turn off pc, unplug, jump pins 1 and 2, wait five secs, then rejump 2 and 3 and plug in power cord and turn on system.. Some motherboard makers even have a saftey net in the form of pressing the Insert, or other key, as you power on the system. This essentially sets the cmos to failsafe defaults.. SysOpt.com
