I use alta vista, and other search engines, and notice that all my previous searches come up again as I type the same first few letters of the search subbject. Where is this information located so I can delete it if need be? Thanks a bunch http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

I've thought about that myself... I think it's stored in one of the cookies for that site. Hotmail does the same thing. Deleting them all can be a bad idea though, so proceed carefully... Good luck.

IE5? Go to Tools/Internet Options/Content/AutoComplete and uncheck the box for Web Addresses. You may also want to proceed to General and wipe the History and Temp. Internet files.
You can set Cookies to not be stored by going to Tools/Internet Options/Security/Internet Zone/Custom Level/Cookies and disable the ones to be stored.
You may also want to check Explorer to corroborate their deletion.
You may want to further check your Registry/Software entries for "software" that really isn't, but are cookie machinations that are placed in your registry. One such I found recently had the text: Info.Crum -pretty subtle, eh?
