If I add a drive in xp...?

Say it starts out as 1 hard drive and 1 dvd (C + D), and I add a hard drive, will xp install it as the D drive, bump the dvd to E? If it does will the dvd shortcuts be updated automatically to E? And then add cdrw?

In WinXP, current drive letters will be kept, new HD will be E: by default, unless you choose something else ...

XP keeps all current drive letter, no matter if you add a new hard drive, a new partition, or whatever. You can change the drive letters in XP easily. I can't remember exactly how at the moment, but I have done it and it is very easy.
