ok, I'm looking for photo editing software (in case you couldn't tell), but I'm looking for one I can download free, at least a trial version (limited ones are preferable to timebombed ones) any suggestions?

www.gimp.org (http://www.gimp.org)

This photo editing suite is every bit as powerful as Adobe Photoshop. It is free and available for Linux, Windows, Macintosh.

I read that there may be a few minor bugs with the Windows version. I use Gimp in Linux and it is fantastic.

I'm looking for a program that can do batch edit of pictures. I want to resize a bunch of 640 x 480 pics to 600 x 450.

Am I stupid?? I can't seem to find the Windows download for The Gimp. In fact, on the www.gimp.org (http://www.gimp.org) page, they say:

"GIMP is not supported on Microsoft Windows , IBM OS/2, Apple Mac OS, or BeOS."

Links would be appreciated! The Gimp looks great!

I downloaded Irfanview, it seems to fill all the things I needed. And best of all it was a very small file!

I have d/l'd Gimp for Windows and installed it today - really looks complete, just like the Linux counterpart.

Newbie Gimp users - right-click inside the picture for options. Clone tool: press Ctrl then left-click to select source; then go to your target and clone away.
