Aragon 07-11-1999, 12:17 AM Is there a way (program/trick..) to hide programs you run from appearing on the windows 9x bar or in the tray? BBA 07-11-1999, 12:21 AM Yep... I don't remember where, but in the NT reg hack postings theres a trick to keep CD's from spinning up all the time by opening a minimized explorer (it shares with any other explorer you open so the cd deoesn't spin up each time) and it tells how to hide the bar button so it's transpearant. I don't know where it is off the top of my head... BBA Aragon 07-11-1999, 08:20 PM I meant to hide just one program...not the whole bar...also...I have win95, but gonna upgrade to win98SE soon. Dominus 07-11-1999, 08:54 PM It really depends on the program that you want to hide, but give "Encrypted Magic Folders" a try. It encrypts & hides directories in Win9X. http://www.pc-magic.com/ kwai 07-12-1999, 03:48 AM i think he's talking about keeping programs from displaying a button in the taskbar... hai 07-12-1999, 07:36 AM There's a program "hideit" can do the job. Can't remember its url, you can start searching from www.windows95.com.
