Click to See Complete Forum and Search --> : what batteries do wireless keyboards usually use? racronus 03-23-2002, 04:42 AM as stated :) Fatal_Exception 03-23-2002, 05:11 AM every one i've ever seen uses AA batteries mice and gamepads tend to use AAA, but some use AA batteries namrak 03-23-2002, 07:33 AM I picked up Logitech's Optical Cordless Freedom set (wireless keyboard/mouse combo) a couple of weeks ago. Very sleek looking keyboard, though wireless may not be the way to go if you're into heavy gaming and first person shooters because the mouse only has one laser optic. In anycase, I can specifically say that you will need a total of 8 double AA batteries. Six for the keyboard and 2 for the mouse. Manual states an expectancy of 3 months before replacing the batteries. Probably best to buy double AA batteries in a bulk box. racronus 03-23-2002, 12:01 PM thanks mrmagoo_83 03-28-2002, 01:02 AM I have had my wireless keyboard for a year nearly and not replaced the batteries yet, but I have replaced the ones in the mouse like every two to three months, depending on use. Lycia 03-28-2002, 01:52 AM I replace the AA's in my Acer Airkey about twice a year.. Bullet-Man-2 03-28-2002, 08:18 AM my current setup is a wireless keyboard and mouse (joy stick type of thing on the keyboard it self). And this is mainly so I can control my PC while I sit on my futon. Anyways, then I got a basic setup of a Silicon Graphics USB keyboard (man for 13 bucks you get a very STABLE keyboard! I mean I spilled tea on it twice and still didn't need to replace it!). Then I got my USB logitech optical mouse, both I use for gaming and typing out this thing. But my wireless keyboard / mouse use 4 AA batteries. And with average use I still havent needed to replace them. SysOpt.com
