School Internet is baddd

any thoughts on how to get around it besides a proxy (my friend game me one and it works) but more ways would be nice.
i know i posted this somewhere else but i though i'd get more responses here.

I believe I read somewhere that you had to get the administrator's access or permission to get around proxies, but I'm not sure. However, many schools are not very comfontable doing that. You know, security issues. I too am using my school's proxy to log on the Internet, but I don't have much beef with that. It's free.

yes its free and its fater then my dial up at home.. ok a whole lot faster. thanks god for laptops with built in 10/100 nics
