are there any programs that can convert movie file formats?
for example, .qt to .mpeg?

and by converting formats, does it also improve quality of the movie?

i'm just looking for a program inwhich i can use on my regular pc withot any special prof. $2000 vid card.

im not sure if this program will convert that file to an mpeg but i have used this before and it works great but it wont make the quality any better if it isnt there to begin with Konverter (http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10106-100-3685786.html?tag=st.dl.10001-103-1.lst-7-1.3685786)

but do you know if there are programs out there that is capable of enchancing quality of a video?
