Until today I had all the computers in my network connected to a proxy and a 56k modem. Today we had installed a 2way internet satellite service. There are some questions that I have concerning the service. One small problem appeared in the install and it was that the upload modem is still offline because of an outage in the system, making the dish control software to dial up our back up internet account.
One of the doubts is concerning the emails. We have a domain in Verio and we connect there to download the emails via outlook express, and it is downloading the emails without a hitch... but sending emails is another story, right now even if it is using our old ISP account to make the uplink we arent able to send anything. We used to send the emails via the old proxy using this setting, and now it is using the same account but in the computer taht the satellite system is connected to. Our old ISP outgoing mail server is "mail1.centennialpr.net". The machines in the network are mixed win98 and win 2000 machines and the machine providing the internet connection service is in win2k.
