I have a Aztec Laptop HB8603

I have just booted it up and after making an awful noise it brings up the the error message - PRE MASTER HDD ERROR

Can any one help me to resolve this. Aztec is a thailand company, so their site is not helpful as its not in english.

Is it the bios? Could it be currupted? Are their any diagnostic or fix tht could sort this out?

That sounds like a bad hard drive. Has the unit been bumped or dropped?

It was moved between offices, but only in its padded bag

Agreed, it sound like the HD is joining its fallen comrades in HD Heaven. The HD motor sounds duff.
