My son was surfing places he shouldn't have been and aquired some sort of script (my guess) that changes the home page in internet options in the control panel. I have tried to change it back but when I shut down and reboot, my homepage is back to the wrong place and I have to change it again. Is there anyway to fix this other than wiping the drive and starting over? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't know if this will work for you but go and download Ad-Aware and run it on ALL parts of memory, HDD, and every thing posible. What ever you find delete. Change your stuff to what you want, re-boot , and i hope it will work for u.

Try this:

Go to the page you want as your startup home page.

Click on Tools (or view under an older IE version), Internet Options.

At the top of the window is Home Page. Click the button that says Use Current, then click Apply.

Check your broswer cache and cookies to see if the website put any on your computer.

Plus, see if there are any programs that were installed on the computer. You can check the add/remove programs function in windows, or you can check to see if you son downloaded some objects into the temporary internet files in IE. To check this, go into internet options, click settings and then click view objects. See if there is any suspiscious programs lying around.
