help with memory problem..

have an old mobo, amptron 7900, with intel triton chipset (i430vx), Pentium 120 MHz, oc'd to 133. Just installed extra 32Mb ram into DIMM socket but it is only recognizing it as 8Mb. any suggestions would be most appreciated....

There are lot of incompatibilites between old mobos and current dimms.Best to try different dims or try to manually configure ram settings in bios.

I have the same chipset. My manual states that the simm bank zero must be empty when mixing simm and dimms. It also states that you need to rejumper the sdram jp7 to 3.3v position.

You'll need to double check your manual.
