Well here's a link since its slow here tonight;
You can go from there and check back manyana:

This is basic overview of what overclocking is:http://www.thetechzone.com/articles/how_to/overclocking/index.htm

And this site is a good place to start:

Welcom to SysOpt!

Remember that you overclock at your own risk.

There are two ways to overclock; the front-side bus (FSB) and the cpu multiplier.

Adjusting the FSB will also increase the speed of the components in the system as well as the processor; the memory, pci, and agp slots. Overclocking with the FSB is more popular for cpu's that have a locked multiplier. If you have 133Mhz FSB, try incrementing the value in small amounts, boot and run for awhile. If you do not have any problems, then increase the fsb some more...and so on. Eventually, you'll get to the point where the system will get flaky. When that happens, back down the FSB by one until you have a stable system. That will be your overclocking high point.

The other method is to increase the cpu multiplier. If you oc with the multiplier, the cpu speed is the product of the multiplier times the fsb value. For an 800Mhz processor at 133Mhz bus, the multiplier would be 6. You can play with the multiplier by increasing it in small increments. The multiplier only effects the cpu, nothing else.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!:cool:
