How do I get it back?

After installing my new hd, weird stuff started to happen when I clicked on things. Like, it would act like I was holding down the mouse button when I wasn't and also right click was messed. I restarted but the errors were still there. 20 seconds later, they were gone (????). Oh well http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Anyway, throughout this short catastrophe, the "minimize to desktop" shortcut that is normally in the Quick Launch bar, dissappeared. Anyone know how to get it back?

Right click on the gray area beside your start button, select toolbars and then quick launch http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes, I have the Quick Launch bar. I am in need of the short cut icon that is normally on the QL that minimizes all your windows and puts you on the desktop.

Here is an article that may help.
First do a search for "Show Desktop" to see if you still have it, chances are you just need to add a shortcut into the quicklaunch toolbar. http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q190/3/55.ASP
Hope that helps Warthog.

I first searched for it and it located the file in the "Video" section of my personal files. It wasn't there before....must've been the error....weird!

Thanks everyone http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Haha, oops! Hmmm....I dunno how I got mine back...I erased mine before. I know the command line is here though:

C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

If that helps you any...good luck! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
